Our shop sits on 350th Avenue just east of DeWitt, in the middle of Clinton County's well belt, and the territory runs out from there in every direction. North is Jackson County: Maquoketa and the karst country around it. East is Clinton on its deep unsoftened wells, and across the Mississippi, Fulton in Whiteside County, Illinois. South is Scott County: Eldridge and the acreages on dolomite wells, then Davenport and Bettendorf on Iowa American Water's unsoftened river water, and across the bridge, Rock Island in Rock Island County. Every one of those places has different water (Jordan-aquifer hardness and radium, river water with chloramine, private wells with iron, nitrate and bacteria), which is why a free in-home test is on offer in every town we serve, for anyone who wants to see the numbers before choosing a system.
